Master quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques essential for translating health research into actionable evidence.
Data analysis is the bridge between raw research data and meaningful health insights. This intensive 6-week masterclass equips health researchers, program officers, and public health professionals with practical skills to analyze, interpret, and present quantitative and qualitative data effectively.
Participants will learn to use popular software tools (SPSS, Excel, NVivo basics), apply appropriate statistical tests, conduct thematic analysis, and communicate findings through clear visualizations and narratives — all within the context of health and wellness research.
Types of data, measurement scales, data quality assessment, and introduction to analysis software.
Measures of central tendency, dispersion, frequency distributions, and creating effective charts.
Hypothesis testing, t-tests, chi-square, correlation, and basic regression for health data.
Transcription, coding, theme development, and using NVivo for qualitative research.
Combining quantitative and qualitative findings, triangulation, and synthesis techniques.
Writing the results section, creating data dashboards, and presenting to stakeholders.
Msc in Biostatistics with 6+ years experience in health research data analysis.
